Galapagos Trips to giant Turtles
The biggest turtles in the world can be found on the Galapagos Islands. You can find 14 species of turtles in Galapagos. The biggest turtles can be more than 600 pounds (300kg) and more than 3 feet (1m) long. You feel quite small if you stand next to a giant Galapagos turtle. Quit young also as these turtles have an average life of about 175 years or even more. The largest turtles can be found on the Galapagos Islands : Santa Cruz and Isabella. Due to a lot of vegetation nearby the ground, these giant turtles have shorter necks than the turtles on the other Galapagos Islands. Galapagos turtles adapt to vegetation
